The Brief

Due to the growth expected of LBT Innovations commercialisation strategy, the role of APAS Technology Director was created to lead and manage the overall delivery of LBT’s APAS Technology projects. The leads the development, engineering, clinical trials, and quality and regulatory functions within the company to support global sales.

The Search Methodology

Engagement – Wexford Hayes met with the Chief Executive Officer of LBT Innovations to fully understand the company, culture, role brief, and candidate competencies required. We also set reasonable expectations in terms of timelines and results to ensure we remain aligned with LBT Innovations throughout the process.

Sourcing – Due to the specialised nature of the industry sector and a talent pool of suitably qualified candidates that largely resided outside of Adelaide our approach involved utilising our in-house research capability and experienced search advisors who have a strong track record of engaging and accessing biotechnology talent on both a national and international basis.

Assessment – Following a preliminary screening of candidates, we conducted further assessment via behavioural and competency-based interest with selected candidates to determine our final shortlist of candidates.

Delivery – Wexford Hayes provided a weekly status of updates throughout the search process. We delivered the shortlist in 6 weeks and the role was appointed within 4 months of commencement.

Candidate Care – Wexford Hayes treated every candidate with respect and adopted a process that kept our candidates informed, built a positive candidate experience, and provided objective feedback. Due to the requirement to relocate to Adelaide, we assisted the successful candidate and their family with any questions or challenges relating to the relocation.
