Executive General Manager - Regis Aged Care

The Brief

Regis Aged Care was seeking to appoint an Executive General Manager, People & Culture responsible for the overall provision of the People & Culture function which includes ensuring that best practice is implemented and practiced throughout the organisation in a manner that is commercial and sustainable in the provision of workforce planning, industrial relations, employee relations, occupational health and safety, policy setting, remuneration and negotiation of agreement increases, workers compensation, performance management, recruitment and retention, culture alignment and learning and development/training.

The Search Methodology

Engagement – Wexford Hayes met with the Managing Director of Regis Aged Care to fully understand the company, culture, role brief, and candidate competencies required. We worked closely with Regis to ensure we understood the key attractors of the role that would enable us to advocate and position the role appropriately. We also set expectations in terms of timelines and results to ensure we were aligned with Regis Aged Care throughout the process.

Sourcing – Wexford Hayes conducted detailed market research, initiated searches of public and in-house databases, implemented an advertising strategy, and utilised our extensive networks.

Assessment – We took our knowledge of the industry, organisation, and the role to assess candidates against the requirements of the position to ensure that a candidate will be the right leader for Regis Aged Care and its strategic focus.

Delivery – Wexford Hayes provided a weekly status of updates throughout the search process. We delivered the shortlist in 4 weeks and the role was appointed within 3 months of commencement.
